Pool House by the Bay is a 4-bedroom Lake Havasu vacation home for boaters who need driveway and side-yard trailer parking. Drive times below are from North Lake Havasu City, Arizona. After the lake, the backyard is a private heated pool, spa, and game room.
Parking at the house
The driveway is a roundabout, which makes it easier to get a truck and trailer in and out when Palo Verde is busy. Park on the concrete. Do not drive over the gravel or rocks, and do not park on the street.
Side yard
About 22 feet of side-yard parking through the gate beside the garage. That is the dedicated trailer slot.
Top of the driveway
Overflow at the top of the driveway if the side yard is tight or you want a straighter pull-in.
Chock the trailer
Whenever the trailer is not connected to a vehicle, chock the tires. The lower stretch of driveway has a mild slope.
On-site limits
No enclosed boat garage, no RV hookups, and no street parking. The garage is a gym. Trucks and extra cars share the concrete driveway.
Launch ramps from the house
Four places matter: Windsor Beach for most trailered boats, Site Six when you want a quieter morning or you are heading north on the lake, Rotary when the boat meets the car at the park, and the Bridgewater Channel after you are already on the water. Holiday weekends add ramp wait, not just drive time.
| Launch | Best for | Trailer parking at ramp | From the house |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lake Havasu State Park (Windsor Beach) | Most trailered boats; the workhorse public launch | State park lot (park fee). Five launch ramps. | About 6 min |
| Site Six | Fishing, a less downtown feel, heading north on the lake | Recreation-site parking. Can fill up on busy mornings. | About 8 min north |
| Rotary Community Park | Beaching the boat for a park day | City park lot. Accessible by boat or car. | About 10 min |
| Bridgewater Channel / London Bridge | Lunch stops, sightseeing, and a slow cruise under the bridge | Public lots around English Village and the island. No trailer launch. | About 10 min by car |
Windsor Beach at Lake Havasu State Park
About 6 min · 699 London Bridge Rd
The ramp most visitors mean when they say “the ramp.” Five concrete ramps, trailer parking, and Windsor Beach beside the launch lanes. State park day-use fee applies. Check azstateparks.com for current rates. On Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Desert Storm week, arrive before 7 a.m. or expect a long line.
Site Six
About 8 min north
Single-lane public ramp north of town. Locals use it for fishing and launching without driving through the channel area. No state park fee. Parking can fill on busy mornings; services are limited compared with Windsor. A strong choice when you are staying in north town and running north toward Topock Gorge or the Sandbar.
Rotary Community Park
About 10 min · 1400 Smoketree Ave
Waterfront park. Many groups launch at Windsor, then boat over so family at the park meets the crew on the beach. More on beaches and park days on things to do.
Bridgewater Channel
About 10 min by car · no trailer launch
Launch at Windsor or Site Six, then cruise the no-wake channel under London Bridge. For boat-in meals and the channel scene, see where to eat.
Fuel
Fill the truck on AZ-95 before you hitch up. Marina fuel is around the channel and island. Hours change, so confirm the morning you go out.
Ice and groceries
Food City is about 4 minutes south. Walmart is about 8 minutes north and stays open late. That is the restock loop most boat weeks use.
Boating without your own boat
Rentals and jet-boat tours are listed on things to do. Desert Storm and other busy boat weekends are on the events calendar.
Coming back from the lake
Unhitch, walk through the house, and the backyard is waiting: private heated pool, spa, putting green, and a covered patio. Inside: billiards, shuffleboard, and a table for ten. Pool and spa heating details are on the pool house page.
